Observation deck

Every week I either get Thursday or Friday off work - this last week I decided to spend my day off on the observation deck of the capital, and of course my diana mini came with me. Enjoi.

When it's cold outside...

I'm so not ready for the winter. The past few days have been in the 50's with 30 mph winds, and even this is giving me the blues. Since I've been limited on outdoor activities, I've taken to baking! Nik and I spent the evening in the other weekend and made chocolate cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting - this is the side of changing seasons that I like :) As far as my art goes, I've been working on a piece for a few weeks now, it's taking longer than anticipated but I'll keep ya posted. Enjoi.

This has been my project for the last few weeks. It's always hard once summer is over, to have a good amount of time to work on my paintings, but I did this painting for my friend Laura. The words at the top are lyrics from a Pearl Jam song - "I only own my mind, I am mine." It only felt suiting to blend the lyrics with this portrait of a woman. Enjoy.
